Letter to Shady Roost following a trip.-
Hi everyone! Now that we're back to the grind of our jobs and the weight of our inbox is crushing our computers, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for such a great time at Shady Roost. What an amazing experience, with the scenery, the fishing, the relaxation, and most of all, the fellowship with all of you. I find myself sitting here wishing I was on a boat catching walleye, or sitting on the deck warming by the fire, listening for the dinner bell to ring, or, even better, sitting on a rock eating shore lunch. I think I could eat shore lunch every day, every meal! It was a great time, and with the exception of Doug, I really enjoyed being with all of you! ;)) So, thanks to Gordon for all his work putting it together and his comic relief, thanks to Randy for being the best Dump tour guide Canada has ever had, thanks to Grant and all the workers and guides (especially Terry!) who made our stay such a memorable one, and thanks to all for the memories!
If I
can ever be of help to anyone, please don't hesitate to give me a call...here's hoping we meet again at Shady Roost.

Testimonial from a longtime customer and friend-
It was September of 1997 that I was first introduced to the Canadian waters of Nestor Falls. It seems like yesterday when we drove the windy roads leading us to the Shady Roost Fishing Resort.Viewing the Roost for the first time was, and will always be, a memorable experience. The beauty and the abeyance, will be in mind forever.
Every year since, the experience remains the same. This experience has turned out to be an annual event for me and for my friends, family and customers. Every year we return with many wonderful memories about the one that got away or of the overall experience. And every year I am treated as a valued customer and a valued friend.
It is very difficult to explain the overall experience that the Shady Roost provides. It is something one has to expereince for themselves.The fishing guides provide many opportunities to catch fish for the outstanding shore lunches or to bring home. I am not a pro when it comes to fishing (you might say the I wouldn't make it on my "Net Income"), but, by the end of the trip, I do quite well.The kitchen staff provides a unique experience as well, serving up some of the finest food I have ever had. Even the hot cereal, Red River, will make you a "Regular" customer !!!
So you ask " Why Shady Roost?"
* A Great Organization * Great People * Great Friends * A Great Experience
